Man United played in the home playground Old Trafford.

A thrilling battle between two longtime rivals at Old Trafford finished in a stalemate despite Manchester United’s two-goal comeback to save a 2-2 tie.

Halftime did little to slow down the game’s fast tempo, which continued throughout the entire 90 minutes. Wilfried Gnonto scored just 55 seconds into the game, and four minutes into the second half, Raphael Varane scored an own goal to give Leeds United a 2-1 lead.

A rivalry between these Man United and Leeds, dates back to 1923 has a long history of animosity. These teams, known as the “Roses Rivalry,” have fought frequently both on and off the field. The rivalry is less heated than it once was because Leeds United hasn’t played in the Premier League in a while.

Due to his Saturday’s red card against Crystal Palace, Casemiro will be ineligible for Manchester United. Although his presence will be missed, keep an eye out for his backups to put Leeds at ease throughout their buildup play.

Man United Vs Leeds United

Leeds United just suffered a 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League. Leeds were disjointed and never really got going, and McKennie’s disappointing debut didn’t help. It will be difficult to recover against Man United, especially after the latter team’s 2-1 triumph against Crystal Palace.

On his debut, Marcel Sabitzer performed admirably, but his midfield pivot partner Fred was terrible, constantly giving the ball away and allowing Leeds to screw up the game. Weston McKennie and Tyler Adams caused havoc in the middle of the park throughout the whole game with their positioning and work rate.

Sabitzer is a talented player, but Fred is not yet at the level necessary to carry this midfield when Casemiro comes back. If Scott McTominay returns from injury before Casmiro, it wouldn’t be unexpected to see him take Casmiro’s place.
