Director Todd Phillips shared Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix’s picture on Valentine’s Day.

On her Twitter account late Tuesday, Lady Gaga debuted the first image of her character in the “Joker” sequel, capping off Valentine’s Day with a sinister flourish.

In the picture from “Joker: Folie à Deux,” Gaga’s persona is seen cuddling up to Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker.

The only thing Gaga said was the name of the sequel. A joker’s hat emoji and “Folie à Deux”

Happy Valentine’s Day was written beneath the identical image Todd Phillips posted to his Instagram page while directing 2019’s dark villain origin story “Joker.”

The Arkham Asylum doctor Harley Quinn, who eventually marries the Joker and joins him in crime, is the character that Gaga is portraying.

Although the casting hasn’t been revealed, the photo Phillips posted to Instagram shows Gaga holding Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck by the neck and gazing intensely into his face while eschewing Harley’s punk-harlequin attire. Fleck returns the smile while sporting a faded and smudged version of his clown makeup. Happy Valentine’s Day, Phillips said.

On her lead part in “A Star Is Born,” which Phillips produced, Gaga collaborated with Phillips. The Warner Bros. “Joker” sequel is currently being filmed in New York and Los Angeles with a release date of October 4, 2024.
