Tony Pollard has an ankle injury, he wont be playing.
The Dallas cowboys seem to be in trouble as they loose their pro bowl running back to an ankle injury. To win against the San Francisco 49ers, this match maybe a little difficult on their side. Pollard suffered an injury in the first half left with only 1:24.
The Cowboys were forced to rely on rookie Malik Davis and Ezekiel Elliott in Tony Pollard’s absence. Elliott played the most of the season with a knee brace on to prevent a damaged medial collateral ligament; yet, he had not averaged 4 yards per carry in the previous five games and this season has averaged a career-low 3.8 yards per carry. In the regular season, Davis carried the ball 38 times for 161 yards and a touchdown.
Pollard may need a surgery too for the same. Pollard’s injury has come at the very wrong time and stands to be a big obstacle for their win against the 49ers. This remains as an issue for him too.
He had the best season of his career and is set to become an unrestricted free agency in March. Pollard accumulated 1,007 yards on 193 carries in 16 regular-season contests. This season, he scored 12 touchdowns, which is more than he did in any of his previous three seasons combined. He received his first Pro Bowl selection in his career.

The Cowboys were attempting to regain the lead over the 49ers later in the second quarter after converting on a 4th down. Dak Prescott’s throw to Tony Pollard in the center of the field was intercepted by 49ers defensive back Jimmie Ward, who also made a behind-the-back tackle on Pollard.
Pollard most certainly sustained a fracture as well as possible ligament harm. Before the team does an MRI on his ankle, it is difficult to say how serious the injury is. In order to counter San Francisco’s second-ranked run defense, the Cowboys were relying on Pollard’s speed (77.2 yards per game). He had two catches for 11 yards and six carries for 22 yards prior to getting hurt.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said about Tony Pollard’s injury “That hurt, Just a guy that brings so much to our offense, brings so much to our team. His energy. His energy on the sideline, in the huddle, the way he gets guys going. He’s a special teammate, special player and obviously that one hurt. It hurt us. Wasn’t able to create as many explosive plays as we planned, and I’m sure he would’ve been a big part of some of those had he not gotten hurt.”

We wish Tony Pollard a speedy recovery.
